April 8, Fineko/abc.az. This January, Azerbaijan imported 129,933 tons of wheat for $28.87 million from foreign countries (a rise of 54% in value and a 50% increase in quantity compared with January 2025), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the tate Statistics Committee.

Azerbaijan purchased 83,613 tons (+3-fold) of wheat from Russia for $18.97 million (3-fold more than a year ago) and 46,320 tons (-21%) from Kazakhstan for $9.9 million (-19%).

52.26% of 1.267 million tons of wheat imported by Azerbaijan in 2025 was carried out from Kazakhstan and 47.73% from Russia.
