April 6, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Mar 2026, finances for totally 68.508 million manats were returned from the State Budget of Azerbaijan to individuals and legal entities.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Ministry of Finance that the refundable money relate to the reimbursement of VAT paid by foreigners when purchasing goods for industrial and non-commercial purposes in the country, in the field of retail trade and catering for individuals, in the field of culture (theaters, cinemas, museums, concerts) and medical care, as well as hotel services in territories liberated from occupation.
Also, VAT paid for residential and non-residential premises purchased by wire transfer from persons engaged in construction activities, as well as previously paid other taxes, state duties, interest and financial sanctions were refunded to citizens.
