April 3, Fineko/abc.az. The White House on Friday will present the draft defense budget of the United States for fiscal year 2027, which will amount to a record of $1.5 trillion.

Approx. $760 billion will be allocated for the development and acquisition of weapons. Spending on programs related tomissile defense system Golden Dome, shipbuilding, and F-35 fighter jets will be increased.

The U.S. plans to purchase 85 F-35 fighter jets of various modifications. Almost $66 billion will be allocated for the construction of 18 combat and 16 non-combat ships. $17.5 billion will be spent on the Golden Dome.
