April 3, Fineko/abc.az. The Moldovan parliament has finally decided to withdraw from the CIS

ABC.AZ informs that one of the reasons for this decision was the war in Ukraine. Violation of the territorial integrity of countries is the principle underlying the creation of the CIS. Moldovan parliamentarians condemned the Agreement on the establishment and Charter of the CIS.

As noted in the statement, secession from the CIS countries is a step towards joining the EU.

But leaving the Commonwealth does not mean a complete break in ties. Moldova will remain a party to a number of CIS treaties, especially in the trade, economic and social spheres.
