April 1, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 37.8 tons of salmon for $334,000 for January 2026.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the State Statistics Committee, that the indicator is 19% less in value and 48% less in quantity compared with January 2025.

Azerbaijan bought 25.8 tons of salmon for $268,500 from Norway (4-fold more in value and 5-fold more in volume than a year ago), 7.9 tons for $44,000 from Canada, 3.8 tons for $14,600 from Estonia (+2.6-fold in value and +27%), 0.04 tons for $3,400 (-90% and -99%) from Turkey, 0.1 tons for $1,850 (-67% and -63%) from Belarus.

After a break of 1 year and 3 months, Azerbaijan resumed salmon shipments from Canada.
