Exports of nitrogen fertilizers from Azerbaijan declined by 39%

March 18, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan exported 68,763 tons of nitrogen fertilizers for $21.869 million for Jan-Feb 2026.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Customs Committee that exports of nitrogen fertilizers decreased in value by $14.139 million (by 39.3%) vesus Jan-Feb 2025, and in quantitative terms by 53,620 tons (by 43.8%).

Over Jan-Feb 2025, the country exported 122,383 tons of nitrogen fertilizers for $36.8 million.

The average export price of 1 kg of nitrogen fertilizers was $0.32 (0.54 manat) versus $0.29 (0.49 manat) a year earlier. Thus, the growth amounted to $0.03 (0.05 manats), or 10.3%.

For Jan-Feb 2026, nitrogen fertilizers made up 0.60% of overall exports and 3.77% of Azerbaijan's non-oil exports (for Jan-Feb 2025 - 0.76% and 7.42%, respectively).
