February 24, Fineko/abc.az. Amazon has announced plans to invest $12 bn in the construction of the first data center campuses in northwest Louisiana.

ABC.AZ informs that the press service noted that this will be the largest such project in the state and will create 540 permanent jobs, as well as support 1,710 additional jobs in the region.

The new data center will run on renewable energy, Amazon assured, and its cooling will use mainly a natural supply of outdoor air, as well as water, which should reduce the load on the power grid.

Amazon has already opened a robotic logistics center in the region and invested in the development of solar generation.
