February 5, Fineko/abc.az. Georgia and Romania have signed a memorandum on bilateral cooperation within the underwater electric cable project across the Black Sea.
ABC.AZ reports that the document envisages the coordination of research and project preparation, including technical, financial and environmental aspects.
The 1,155 km long project will connect the energy systems of Georgia and Europe via Romania. The project has already been recognized as technically and economically feasible and has received the status of a "project of mutual interest" by the EU. For the first time, a memorandum on the project was signed in 2022 with the participation of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Hungary and Romania.
