February 2, Fineko/abc.az. Once during each calendar year, 1 mobile device can be moved across the customs border on a preferential basis (without paying customs duties).
ABC.AZ informs that this is reflected in Cabinet Ministers’ changes to the Preferential & simplified rules for the movement of goods across the customs border, not intended for production or commercial purposes by individuals.
According to the decision, if the customs value of mobile devices imported by individuals into the customs territory exceeds the monthly limit established by subitems 2.1.2 and 2.1.4 of these Rules (goods imported into the customs territory of Azerbaijan once during each calendar month, the total customs value of which does not exceed the equivalent of $800; goods imported into the customs territory once during each calendar month on behalf of the same individual by international mail or by a carrier company), then the amounts specified in the relevant subitems are deducted from the total customs value, after which customs clearance of these goods will be carried out in a simplified manner with the collection of customs duties in accordance with with tariff and non-tariff regulation of foreign economic activity.
