January 8, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, a portion of VAT in the amount of 191.98 million manats was refunded to individual consumers, who paid for goods purchased from persons engaged in retail trade or catering activities in Azerbaijan (with the exception of oil and gas products, automobiles, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), for services in the field of theatrical productions, film screenings, visits to museums and concerts of the symphony orchestra, as well as for medical services rendered by medical institutions and individuals engaged in private medical practice.
ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Tax Service, that last year the amount of VAT refunded from the State Budget for goods purchased by foreign citizens in the country for personal consumption (tax free) amounted to 10.533 million manats.
