January 7, Fineko/abc.az. The Shanghai port handled more than 55.06 million TEU last year, maintaining its first place in the world for the 16th year in a row, ABC.AZ informs, referring to Tsailian agency.

In 2024, it became the first port where the annual container turnover exceeded 50 million TEU. The port handles a wide range of cargo and is a key transportation hub in eastern China, operated by Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG).
