December 29, Fineko/abc.az. Mobile phones will be subject to excise duty, and a state duty of 100 manats will be charged for the registration of more than one mobile device imported by an individual for personal use.

ABC.AZ reports that this is reflected in the amendments to the Tax Code and the Law on State Duty approved by President Ilham Aliyev.

According to the amendments to the Tax Code, an excise tax of 20 manats is applied for each imported mobile phone. At the same time, one mobile phone imported by an individual for personal use during a calendar year is exempt from excise duty.

In accordance with the amendments to the Law on State Duty, a state duty of 100 manats is charged for the registration of more than one mobile device imported by an individual during a calendar year, regardless of the market value.

The amount of the state fee for registration of mobile devices for each year will be approved by the relevant executive body.
