December 26, Fineko/abc.az. The scope of the preferential trade agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Turkey may be expanded.
ABC.AZ reports that Gulizar Yavash, the Chief Commercial Counsellor at the Turkish Embassy office in Baku, Azerbaijan, made this statement at an event in Baku.
She added that if the agreement currently envisages import and export of 30 goods with preferential trade regime, then it is planned to expand the list up to 50 goods.
"Currently, the list mainly includes agricultural products from Azerbaijan and industrial products from Turkey," Yavash emphasized.
She also told about plans to create a common platform for solving trade problems between Azerbaijan and Turkey: "At a meeting with Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov on December 1, he proposed to create a technical working group. Such platforms will help us increase mutual investments."
