Azerbaijan imported kiwifruits for $1.89 million in 10 months

December 24, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Oct 2025, Azerbaijan imported 2,539 tons of kiwifruits for $1.89 million (10% less versus Jan-Oct 2024 in value terms and 12% less in quantity versus Jan-Oct 2024), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.

Azerbaijan imported 2,382 tons (-16%) of kiwifruits for $1.67 million (16% less) from Iran, 78 tons (+39%) for $109,000 (+38%) from Chile, 77.3 tons (a rise of 15-fold) for $90,300 (growth: 6-fold) from China, 1.92 tons (+2.7-fold) for $15,400 (+2.5-fold) from Italy, and 0.48 tons (-14%) for $4,110 (-9%) from New Zealand.

Azerbaijan exported 478,320 tons (-5%) of kiwifruit for $423,450 (+42%).

In particular, Azerbaijan sold 312.45 tons (-20%) of kiwifruits for $291,760 (-0.3%) to Russia, 63.2 tons for $136,820 to Ukraine (no deliveries a year earlier), 17.8 tons for $26,000 to Latvia, and 30 tons (-48%) for $23,710 (-44%) to Kazakhstan.

This year, for the first time in the last 14 years, deliveries were made to Latvia.
