December 23, Fineko/abc.az. Alphabet Corporation has agreed to purchase Intersect Power for $4.75 billion in cash, assuming its debts.

ABC.AZ reports that the deal will allow Google to expand its own energy capacity for new data centers and reduce dependence on overloaded power grids amid the growth of AI.

The acquisition includes future Intersect projects, and new data parks next to clean energy facilities will start operating in 2026-2027.

The deal is expected to close in the 1st half of 2026.
