December 18, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Oct 2025, Azerbaijan imported 310.33 tons of mutton for $1.97 million (a rise of 2.4-fold in value and 55% in quantity against Jan-Oct 2024), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee.
Our country exported 244.7 tons (+23%) of products from Mongolia for $979,600 (23% more than a year earlier), 46.5 tons for $960,000 from Somalia, and 19 tons (1,990-fold more) for $19,900 from Russia. (+1.900-fold), from New Zealand - 0.16 tons (-65%) for $5,230 (-55%), and from Australia - 0.03 tons (-50%) for $530 (-68%).
This year, for the first time in the last 14 years, shipments from Somalia were made (official foreign trade statistics are publicly available for the period up to 2011).
In 2024, 99.3% of the 453 tons of mutton imported by Azerbaijan accounted for imports from Mongolia.
