December 5, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Nov 2025, 172.323 million manats of VAT paid for purchased goods and services were refunded to consumers in Azerbaijan, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Tax Service (under the Ministry of Economy).
The refund of part of the VAT was paid through authorized banks for goods purchased in the retail and catering sectors (with exception of petroleum products, automobiles, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products), as well as for medical services provided by individuals and private medical institutions.
For the past 11 months of 2025, the amount of VAT refunded from the State Budget for goods purchased by foreign citizens for personal consumption within the country (tax free) amounted to 9.819 million manats.
