December 3, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Oct 2025, the retail trade in the capital increased by 4.7% compared with the same period in 2024 and amounted to 31.3 billion manats.

The value of food, beverages and tobacco products sold in the retail chain increased by 0.6% compared with Jan-Oct 2024 to 17.208 billion manats, non-food products – by 10.1% to 13.8 billion manats, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Baku City Statistics Department.

Retail trade turnover for Jan-Oct 2025 grew by 6.2% for enterprises in real terms and by 3.9% for individual entrepreneurs, markets and fairs against Jan-Oct 2024. 36.9% of consumer goods were sold at enterprises with the status of a legal entity, 51.5% – in retail facilities owned by individual entrepreneurs, and 11.6% – in the commodity markets of the capital.
