November 24, Fineko/abc.az. This year, more than 301,000 manats have been returned to consumers in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Yusif Tapgigly, the head of the department at the State Agency for Antimonopoly Supervision & Consumer Market Control under the Presidential Administration.

He added that the figure is 4.7% more against the 2024 same term: "The violations mainly consisted of the difference between the price indicated on the product and the selling price. The consumer sees one price in the window and when he decides to buy this product, it turns out at the checkout that its price is completely different. We conduct our research in this regard and write protocols in accordance with the requirements of the legislation. This year, protocols have been drawn up on 51 administrative offenses, of which more than 90% related to consumer deception."

In addition, the head of the department said that in 10 months the organization had received more than 7,000 consumer requests: "Not all of them relate to our competence. About 1,500 requests related to the competence of other government agencies, and we redirected them to the appropriate address. Some of them are currently under investigation. Consideration of some of the appeals has been suspended due to non-compliance with the law for certain reasons. But in general, out of more than 4,800 applications reviewed, close to 2,100 were satisfied."
