Exports of nitrogen fertilizers decline slightly against against 2024

November 21, Fineko/abc.az. In the first 3 quarters of 2025, Azerbaijan's exports of nitrogen fertilizers (carbamide) decreased slightly against Jan-Sept 2024, but prices increased and the export geography is expanding. New export destinations are India, Canada, and Uruguay.

ABC.AZ informs that overall exports grew from 409,000 tons up to 427,000 tons (a rise of around 4%). In value terms, exports increased from $90 million up to $132 million.

The average price per ton of urea grew from $220 up to $309 (a rise of $40 a year). This means more expensive exports of $89 per ton.

According to the State Statistics Committee, carbamide production  in the country reached 534,000 tons in the first 10 months of this year. The manufacturer is the carbamide plant SOCAR.
