October 30, Fineko/abc.az. Kazakhstan proposes to develop a common Turkic unified brand.

ABC.AZ reports that Deputy Minister of Trade & Integration of Kazakhstan Aizhan Bizhanova made the above-said statement at the Eurasian Franchising Forum, held in Baku.

According to Bizhanova, there is great potential in development of franchise partnerships under a single brand of the Turkic states: "As you know, in June of last year, Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev initiated the creation of an all-Turkic patent organization. This initiative was supported by the fraternal states. Organizational issues are currently underway to coordinate the concept of relevant documents."

Bizhanova noted that after establishment of this organization, it would be symbolic to prepare registration of the common Turkic brand as the first strategic project: "This will become a powerful driving force for promoting the economic and cultural potential of the Turkic countries in the international arena and will open the markets of China, Europe, India, and Africa to us."

She noted that it is very important to ensure stable trade and logistics relations: "In this context, there is certainly a great potential for the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, which today is the main artery of Eurasian trade. Over the past 5 years, we have managed to significantly increase trade turnover along this route by 6 times. Following the past year, the volume of trade via this route reached 4.5 million tons. This year, the volume continues to grow. By the end of the year, we plan to increase it up to 5 million tons."
