October 24, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani and Kazakh companies discussed transit export opportunities.
ABC.AZ informs that discussions took place during meetings of AZPROMO executive director Yusif Abdullayev with chairman of board of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan Murat Karimsakov and director general of the QazTrade Trade Policy Development Center Aitmukhammad Aldazharov within the Kazakh-Azerbaijani Business Forum.
The importance of the third meeting of the Kazakh-Azerbaijani Business Council, held within the Kazakh-Azerbaijani Business Forum, was stressed at the meeting, and the interest of the business circles of both countries in close cooperation was noted.
Abdullayev provided information on the concept of digital development of the country, the process of digitalization of industry, and also stressed the importance of adapting business to the new requirements of modernity.
Karimsakov, in turn, spoke about the macroeconomic indicators of his country, including the leading sectors of the economy. The effectiveness of the forums and the Business Council as a mechanism for regulating bilateral business relations was noted. In order to further enhance the effectiveness of the above-mentioned platforms, AZPROMO and the Chamber intend to make joint efforts.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the activities of the institutions they represent, export promotion mechanisms, services provided to entrepreneurs, and potential areas of cooperation. The implementation of a mechanism to cover logistical costs was also discussed.
QazTrade expressed interest in developing transit exports of joint products through Kazakhstan along the Middle Corridor to third countries, including China, and expressed its readiness to provide support in these projects. An agreement was reached to continue discussions.
