October 23, Fineko/abc.az. The project of logistics corrdior, Development Path (Middle Corrdior), which will provide transport links between Europe and Asia, is likely to be launched next year and will take five years.

Turkish Transport & Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu says that the project will cost almost $20 billion, and four countries will participate in its financing. Initially, it was reported that the cost of the Development Path would be $17 billion.

The project was launched by the Iraqi authorities in 2023. As part of the Development Path, over 1,200 km of railways are to be modernized and built, coupled with expressways that will connect Iraq with neighboring countries. In April 2024, Turkey, Iraq, the UAE and Qatar signed a memorandum on a project of creation of an international transport & logistics system.
