October 23, Fineko/abc.az. For Jan-Aug 2025, Azerbaijan exported 1,045 tons of melons for $645,300.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Statistics Committee, that compared with the 2024 same term, the figure is 3-fold more in value and 5.4-fold more in quantitative terms.

Over Jan-Aug 2025, Azerbaijan sold 414.2 tons (+3-fold) of products for $313,750 to Russia (2.2-fold more than a year earlier), 515.9 tons for $256,400 to Georgia, 113.9 tons for $66,600 to Ukraine, and 1 ton (-83%) to Saudi Arabia for $8,500.

Azerbaijan resumed the supply of melons to Georgia after a 22-month break and to Ukraine after a 21-month break.

In 2024, 71% of the 195 tons of melons exported from Azerbaijan accounted for Russia.
