October 21, Fineko/abc.az. The post of Prime Minister of Japan was occupied by a woman for the first time in history. Sanae Takaichi, the new chairman of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), has been elected to this position.
ABC.AZ informs that the future politician graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Kobe University and the Matsushita Institute of Public Administration and Management. In 1993, she won a seat in the House of Representatives as an independent candidate, and later joined the Liberals party. In 1996, she joined the LDP.
Takaichi was a member of the inner circle of the late former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. In 2006, she took up several posts at once, becoming Minister of Science and Technology Policy, Innovation, Minister of Youth and Gender Equality, Food Safety, and Okinawa and Northern Territories Affairs.
Among her slogans is the desire to make Japan strong; to bring it back to the top; to break out of stagnation; to give hope for the future of children.
