September 26, Fineko/abc.az. Turkish Airlines intends to purchase close to 225 Boeing aircrafts to expand and modernize its fleet.
ABC.AZ reports that the parties signed an agreement on the supply of 75,787 aircrafts Dreamliner.
The cost of the order is more than $22 billion. It is expected that deliveries will be made in 2029-2034.
Turkish Airlines also announced its intention to purchase about 150 aircrafts Boeing 737 MAX.
"We are honored that Turkish Airlines has once again selected the 787 Dreamliner and 737 MAX to ensure its future development," said Stephanie Pope, president and CEO of Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
Turkish Airlines has a fleet of more than 200 Boeing aircrafts, including aircrafts 787-9, 777, 737 MAX and new-generation Boeing 737, as well as cargo aircrafts Boeing 777.
