Nvidia invests $5 bn in Intel

September 18, Fineko/abc.az. Nvidia, an American processor manufacturer, is buying a stake in Intel, an American computer component developer, for $5 bn, and the companies plan to jointly develop chips for PCs and data centers.

ABC.AZ reports that Nvidia will buy Intel's common shares at the price of $23.28 each. This is about 6.5% lower than the closing price of the securities on Wednesday, September 17.

Under the terms of the deal, Intel will use Nvidia graphics technologies in future PC chips, as well as supply its processors to data centers built on Nvidia hardware.
