September 17, Fineko/abc.az. Baku Shipbuilding Plant LLC, a resident of the Garadagh Industrial Park, has currently signed contracts for the construction of 14 vessels, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Elkhan Shiriyev, deputy head of the Industrial Department of the Ministry of Economy, as saying this at today's meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.

According to Shiriyev, the total investments of the Baku Shipbuilding Plant are $498 million: "To date, 12 vessels have been built at the plant. The total cost of the order for those ships was $628 million. In addition, more than 200 vessels belonging to Azerbaijan or the countries of the Caspian Sea basin have been repaired."
