In 2012, they invested $1 million in bitcoin, when bitcoin was worth $10-12.

In 2014, they founded Gemini, having received a license from the New York Department of Financial Services.

In 2017, the price of bitcoin jumped to $20,000 and the Winklevoss twins became the first crypto billionaires. Back in 2021, the twins' fortune was estimated at $6-8 billion.
