Ukraine Receives Another €1 Billion from the EU from Frozen Russian Assets

September 11, Fineko/abc.az. On Wednesday, September 10, Ukraine received the eighth tranche from the EU in the amount of €1 billion under the G7 Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA) initiative.

According to ABC.AZ, this was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. Under the ERA initiative, the Ministry of Finance has already attracted €10 billion from the European Union.

It is expected that the remaining funds from the EU will be provided to Ukraine in parts until the end of 2025. ERA provides for the allocation of $50 billion to Ukraine, secured by future revenues from frozen Russian assets. The EU’s contribution amounts to €18.1 billion ($20 billion).

Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko noted that the funds received “will make it possible to ensure timely social payments, restore critically important infrastructure, and keep the economy stable even in the most difficult conditions.”
