Japan to wind down its activities in Russia

September 10, Fineko/abc.az. Japan has confirmed its decision to “cease operations” of all branches of the Japanese Center in Russia. The announcement was made by Yoshimasa Hayashi, Secretary General of the Japanese Cabinet, during a briefing with journalists on September 10.

According to ABC.AZ, the decision to wind down activities is linked to the “situation within Russia” and the current state of bilateral relations between the two countries.

As reported by TBS, the Japanese side has already notified Moscow and requested measures to ensure the safety of the centers’ staff.
