Baku Airport clarifies issue with taxis entering its territory

September 9, Fineko/abc.az. One of the main goals of Heydar Aliyev International Airport is to provide passengers with high-quality services and ensure their comfort.

According to ABC.AZ, the airport stated that it serves as the primary space creating the first impression for visitors arriving in the country.

“However, sometimes guests, in addition to official taxi operators offering various service categories, encounter persistent offers from taxi drivers who do not have the necessary permits, have not undergone required training, and whose vehicles do not meet established standards. In some cases, this leads to passengers being misled and dissatisfied. Unfortunately, such incidents do occur. The continued operation of unregulated and unsystematic taxis within the airport harms the airport’s business reputation and creates serious risks to passenger safety.

To prevent such unpleasant situations, taxi operators working at the airport must provide services within a unified, high-quality, and regulated standards system. These requirements do not apply to trips using personal vehicles to the airport. We urge all official taxi operators to improve service quality and ensure passenger satisfaction,” the airport statement said.
