September 9, Fineko/abc.az. The Dutch company Nebius Group (formerly Yandex N.V.) has signed a multi-billion-dollar deal with the American corporation Microsoft in the field of artificial intelligence infrastructure.
According to ABC.AZ, Bloomberg reports this.
Under the agreement, Nebius will supply Microsoft with infrastructure capacities equipped with graphics processors. Nebius is expected to begin providing Microsoft with dedicated capacities in a new data center in Vineland, starting at the end of this year.
According to the terms of the deal, Nebius will receive $17.4 billion from Microsoft by 2031, while Microsoft reserves the right to purchase Nebius’ services for an additional $2 billion. As the publication notes, Nebius shares reacted with a 50% rise after the close of main trading on the NASDAQ exchange in the U.S. Since the beginning of the year, the stock has risen by almost 130%.
