Number of buses in Baku to increase with start of school year

September 8, Fineko/abc.az.  The number of buses will be increased with the start of the school year in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports, citing the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), that the number of buses used for passenger transportation in Baku was 1,780 units  in September 2022; 2,011 units in 2023; and 2,180 units in 2024.

Currently, 2,200 buses are in operation in the capital. With the start of the academic season, the number of vehicles is expected to exceed 2,300. In this regard, the Agency has developed a plan, held meetings with carriers, and issued instructions to increase the number of buses on routes.
