September 8, Fineko/abc.az. Last year, 2,613 enterprises operating in Azerbaijan had websites. This is 47 more, or 1.8% higher than in 2023, according to ABC.AZ citing the State Statistical Committee.
The share of such enterprises among all operating in the country was 11.6%, one percentage point higher than the previous year.
These websites belonged to enterprises in various sectors: 51 in agriculture, forestry, and fishing (+1); 33 in mining (no change); 168 in manufacturing (+2); 26 in electricity, gas, and steam supply (+1); 29 in water supply, waste treatment, and recycling (no change); 180 in construction (+3); 222 in trade and repair of transport vehicles (+4); 84 in transport and storage (+2); 68 in accommodation and food services (+3); 161 in information and communication (+1); 425 in financial and insurance activities (+3); 52 in real estate operations (+1); 236 in professional, scientific, and technical activities (+8); 105 in administrative and support activities (+2); 362 in public administration, defense, and social security (+1); 131 in education (+1); 102 in health and social services (+1); 92 in arts, entertainment, and recreation (+3); 86 in other services (+10).
Last year, the number of enterprises whose websites were hosted on Azerbaijani servers increased by 29 units, or 1.8% compared to the previous year, reaching 1,677. Among them: 27 in agriculture, forestry, and fishing (no change); 13 in mining (no change); 119 in manufacturing (+1); 13 in electricity, gas, and steam supply (+1); 15 in water supply, waste treatment, and recycling (no change); 77 in construction (+3); 158 in trade (+2); 45 in transport and storage (no change); 38 in accommodation and food services (+1); 112 in information and communication (+1); 340 in financial and insurance activities (+3); 24 in real estate operations (+1); 135 in professional, scientific, and technical activities (+3); 70 in administrative and support activities (+2); 239 in public administration, defense, and social security (+6); 68 in education (+1); 63 in health and social services (+1); 61 in arts, entertainment, and recreation (+1); 58 in other services (+2).
