Tural Mammadov: 61,482 malicious electronic documents blocked with Sandbox

September 5, Fineko/abc.az. In the first half of this year, there were practically no DDoS (Distributed Denial-of-Service) attacks in Azerbaijan.

According to ABC.AZ, which cites Report, the head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security, Tural Mammadov, made the remark at the VI summit of IT managers of government agencies, organized by this department.

According to him, the total volume of prevented DDoS attacks in the reporting period was 300 Tbit/s:

“The number of DDoS attacks with a volume of 1 Gbit/s was 18. During the same period, 262.92 million malicious links were blocked on the AzStateNet network, 12.366 million malicious files were blocked through the central antivirus system installed by end users, and 61,482 malicious electronic documents through the Sandbox protection system.”
