September 4, Fineko/abc.az. From January to August 2025, the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security detected 612 indicators of cyberattacks (IOC) targeting government institutions.

According to ABC.AZ, this figure is 9% lower compared to the same period last year.

Of the total, 211 cyber threats were identified and blocked through internal investigations, while 401 were detected through incident reports submitted by government institutions.

In August alone, 39 cyberattacks were recorded, 25% fewer than in the same month last year.

In 2024, a total of 1,070 cyberattacks were registered against government institutions, of which 550 were identified and blocked through internal investigations, and 520 through incident reports from state bodies.
