September 3, Fineko/abc.az. Israel has launched the Ofek 19 space-based radar reconnaissance satellite.

According to ABC.AZ, the program under which the satellite was launched is overseen by the Space Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, which operates within the Directorate for Defense Research and Development (MAFAT).

“The launch of the satellite was carried out as part of a joint operation of the Ministry of Defense, the Israel Defense Forces, and Israel Aerospace Industries, using a Shavit launch vehicle from a test site in central Israel,” the statement said.
