August 28, Fineko/abc.az. Although glass exports abroad decreased in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year, export prices rose, and domestic plants increased production.
According to ABC.AZ, in January–June 2024, 3,319.5 thousand sq. m of glass were exported, generating $9.21 million in revenue.
In 2025, exports fell to 2,964.5 thousand sq. m, with a value of $8.57 million — a decline of 10.7% and 7.1% respectively. Meanwhile, according to the State Statistics Committee, production increased from 4,100.6 thousand sq. m last year to 4,283.1 thousand sq. m in the first half of this year (an annual growth of 4.4%). The average export price per square meter of glass was $2.77 in 2024, rising to $2.89 in 2025 — an increase of 4.3%. Looking at export markets by country, the largest growth was seen in Turkey.
In 2024, only 22.8 thousand sq. m ($84,300) of glass were sold to Turkey, while in 2025 exports reached 2,426 thousand sq. m (+105 times), with a value of $6.78 million (+79.4 times). This year also marked the beginning of glass exports to Bulgaria and Cameroon: 223.2 thousand sq. m ($789,300) and 1.6 thousand sq. m ($11,400), respectively.
