August 28, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND) under the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control has adopted new state standards in the field of telecommunications. According to ABC.AZ, citing AZSTAND, these are state standards AZS ITU-T L.1330:2025 “Measurement and energy efficiency indicators for telecommunication networks”, and AZS ITU-T G 827:2025 “Performance parameters and requirements for end-to-end fixed bit rate digital transmission lines.”
These standards provide a technical basis for determining, comparing, and optimizing the energy consumption indicators of equipment in mobile and fixed networks, as well as setting parameters for transmission lines. Their implementation will enable telecom operators to effectively manage energy consumption, reduce operating costs, and minimize negative environmental impact.
The new state standards were adopted by consensus of the Technical Committee for Standardization in the field of “Information and Communication Technologies” (AZSTAND/TK 05) and included in the State Fund of normative standardization documents.
