August 27, Fineko/abc.az. In the first half of this year, Azerbaijan imported 43.4 tons of duck meat worth $213,000.

According to ABC.AZ, citing data from the State Statistics Committee, this is 85% higher in value terms and 61% higher in volume compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 24 tons from Brazil worth $110,800, 14.6 tons from Russia worth $60,000 (down 30% in value and 21% in volume compared to last year), 1.7 tons from France worth $26,300 (no imports a year earlier), 2 tons from Hungary worth $8,800 (a 4.4-fold increase in value and a 25-fold increase in volume), and 1 ton from Thailand worth $6,200 (no imports a year earlier). Azerbaijan resumed duck meat imports from Brazil after a 1 year and 10-month break.
