August 26, Fineko/abc.az. Cargo turnover along the Azerbaijani section of the North-South transport corridor amounted to 1.235 billion ton-kilometers in January–June of this year. According to ABC.AZ, citing State Statistics Committee data, this figure is 265.6 million ton-kilometers or 17.7% less compared to the same period last year. In the first six months of 2024, cargo turnover along this corridor amounted to 1.501 billion ton-kilometers.

It is noted that during the reporting period, transit cargo accounted for 418.5 million ton-kilometers of turnover along this transport corridor, which is 70.6 million ton-kilometers or 14.4% less year-on-year.
