August 26, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of cargo turnover along the Azerbaijani section of the South-West Transport Corridor in January–June of the current year amounted to 78.9 million ton-km. According to ABC.AZ, citing the State Statistics Committee, this figure is 15.7 million ton-km, or 24.8%, more than in the same period last year.

Thus, in the first six months of 2024, the volume of cargo turnover along the Azerbaijani section of the South-West Transport Corridor amounted to 63.2 million ton-km. It should be noted that in the reporting period, 73.7 million ton-km of cargo turnover along this transport corridor accounted for transit cargo, which is 10.5 million ton-km, or 16.6%, more than a year ago.
