August 19, Fineko/abc.az. During the period of January–July 2025, Azerbaijan exported 490.6 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth USD 506.4 million, APA reports according to its calculations based on the report of the State Customs Committee.

Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the value of fruits and vegetables exported from the country increased by 32% or USD 122.5 million, and the volume increased by 33.1% or 122 thousand tons. In the first 7 months of 2024, Azerbaijan exported 368.6 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables worth USD 383.9 million.

Note that the main exported fruit and vegetable products during the reporting period were tomatoes worth USD 156.9 million (143.6 thousand tons), hazelnuts worth USD 82.5 million (11.4 thousand tons), apples worth USD 38.3 million (54.4 thousand tons), persimmons worth USD 32.9 million (45.8 thousand tons), potatoes worth USD 28.1 million (70.8 thousand tons), and pomegranates worth USD 4.3 million (5 thousand tons).

Recall that in January–July of the current year, the share of fruits and vegetables in total exports amounted to 3.33%, and their share in the export of non-oil products amounted to 24.25%.
