August 15, Fineko/abc.az. Baku Metro CJSC has started implementing comprehensive construction projects to further improve the metro network, which plays an important role in the transport system of Baku.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to Baku Metro that preparatory work will begin at the initial stage of the project for the construction of about a 200-m tunnel that will connect metro stations Jafar Jabbarli and Nizami.

Thus, as part of the preparatory work, a mine will be drilled in two sections around the May 28 metro station. One of the construction sites is located in the upper part of the station, in the parking lot at the intersection of Suleiman Rahimov and Mirali Gashgaya streets, and the other is in front of the metro station. After drilling the mines, additional access roads will be built to provide access to the main tunnels.
The construction process will not interfere with the operation of buses, the Baku Railway Station and the 28 May metro station in the area. During this period, underground and surface transport will operate normally.
