July 29, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has approved the amendments to the legislation concerning investment activities on artificial islands in the Caspian Sea, which also allow for the establishment of casinos on these territories.

ABC.AZ informs that the head of state approved relevant changes to the Civil, Criminal, and Administrative Codes, as well as to the laws "On Information, Informatization, and Information Protection," "On State Duties," "On Advertising," "On Licenses and Permits," "On Combating the Legalization of Criminally Obtained Funds or Other Property and Financing of Terrorism," and "On the Creation of Artificial Land Plots in the Part of the Caspian Sea (Lake) Belonging to the Republic of Azerbaijan."

The Cabinet of Ministers has been instructed to prepare and submit proposals to the President of Azerbaijan within six months to improve regulatory acts related to the organization and operation of gambling in casinos, taking into account best international practices.
