July 28, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency continues to regulate and control the quality of products in order to expand the export of local food products, especially to the markets of the European Union.

ABC.AZ informs that Azerbaijan has retained permission to export caviar obtained from sturgeon grown in aquaculture to the EU for 2025-2026. A monitoring plan for fish products was also prepared and sent to the European Commission. After technical assessment, the plan was endorsed, which opens the way for the export of Azerbaijani fish to EU countries.

To allow animal products into the EU, countries must bring their safety systems and legislation in line with European requirements.
