July 28, Fineko/abc.az. The Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization (AZSTAND) has adopted state standard AZS ISO/IEC 42001:2025 "Information Technologies - Artificial Intelligence - Management System".

ABC.AZ informs with reference to AZSTAND that the new standard defines the requirements for risk management, compliance with ethical principles and ensuring transparency in the application of artificial intelligence technologies.

The new state standard was submitted for discussion at the Technical Committee for Standardization "Information and Communication Technologies" (AZSTAND/TK 05) and the Institute approved it, including it in the State Fund of Normative Documents on Standardization.

The new state standard was adopted in order to implement subparagraph 8.1.5 of the Action Plan for implementation of the Artificial Intelligence Strategy for 2025-2028, approved by the presidential decree from March 19, 2025.
