July 16, Fineko/abc.az. In June 2025, Azerbaijan rose by 4 positions compared to May in terms of the average fixed broadband Internet speed (81.36 Mbit/s) and ranked 83rd among 152 countries.
ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Speedtest Global Index, compared to last year (39.87 Mbps), the average speed of fixed broadband Internet in the country has doubled.
Singapore took the first place in terms of broadband Internet speed in June (393.15 Mbit/s), and Syria took the last place (3.19 Mbit/s).
In the reporting month, Baku ranked 115th among 196 cities in terms of fixed broadband Internet speed (78.78 Mbps), retaining the position of the previous month.
Lyon (347.52 Mbps) topped the ranking of cities in terms of fixed broadband Internet speed. Aleppo (2.55 Mbps) was in last place.
Baku ranked 87th among 150 cities in terms of mobile Internet speed (88.2 Mbps), dropping 3 positions compared to the previous month.
Al Rayyan took the first place among cities in terms of mobile Internet speed - 561.48 Mbit/s, and La Paz (Bolivia) took the last place - 10.76 Mbit/s.
