July 15, Fineko/abc.az. China has set a record for the growth in the number of cars powered by new energy sources this year.

ABC.AZ informs that in total, 5.62 million such cars were registered in China in the first half of 2025 (over a quarter more against the 1st half of 2024), This is a record, local authorities say.

In total, the country has almost 37 million vehicles powered by new energy sources (10.27% of all cars), including 25.54 million electric vehicles, or 69.23%.
